The "mineral reflects, chemical absorbs" thing isn't quite right. Both types work mostly by absorbing UV, and modern formulas are closer than you'd think. The real difference is how each feels on your skin.

Sunscreen, kept simple.
Three things that actually matter. The rest is noise.
About every two hours does it.
That's the rule of thumb, regardless of SPF number. A higher SPF doesn't buy more time, just stronger filtering.
Top up after a swim.
Even with four hours water resistance, towelling off takes some of the protection with it. Quick reapply and you're sorted.
More than you think.
A shot glass for the whole body, about a teaspoon for the face and neck. That's what the SPF on the label is based on.
